あれは、俺が中学校２年生の時だったな。俺が住んでた町の夏祭りの日だった。

仲の良かった友達３人と夏祭りに行ったんだけれど、そこで同じ学校の女子生徒３人組と出会ったんだ。 気が付いてみると、俺以外の３人は、なんかすごく仲良く話してるんだよね。俺は話してる内容もよく分からないし、そんなに仲も良くなかったから、暇でさ。妙に居心地悪かったんだよ。

で、そうこうしてる内に花火が始まって、俺は花火を見てた。気が付いたら、周りに友人たちはいなかった。はぐれたな…って思った。一人でこんなとこいてもしょうがないから、花火だけ見て帰ったんだけど、その途中に楽しそうな６人組を見たよ。声もかけられなかった。見つからないように帰った。
